Teenage/Youth years, period of storm and stress, the challenges facing teenagers today.

Teenage problems are growing rapidly,starting from having an awareness of who they are and what they've grown into. They no longer see themselves as children rather as adults who should take decisions on their own. In the real sense of it, they are neither adult nor children. Most times at loggerhead with parents who are seen as 'old school' and not worthy of giving them advice. They would rather flow with peer pressure to stay 'cool'. This has led to a lot of trouble for teenagers in today's society. The challenges vary according to upbringing and the society where they grow up. Some of the challenges in today's modern society include drugs, sex, depression, bullying, violent crimes, lying, cheating, emotional trauma, learning disabilities.etc Consequently all these result in low self esteem and total lack of confidence. It is a general belief that youths in any society are the future of that society, as a result more attention should be paid to these problems plaguing our youths. How do you think we can tackle these problems and help our teenagers to shun the negative attractions and redirect their focus to achieve their full potentials?
